- Hawkesbury City Council has a Recreation Guide PDF with information about Parks and Reserves, and indicates which parks have playgrounds, but no further details.
I am an active mother of two wonderful kids. As a family we enjoy being outdoors and exploring the lovely Hawksbury and surrounds. I have started a blog to comment, rate and list playgrounds, parks and places of interest around the Hawkesbury NSW to help other Families find great places to play.

2 sets of swings Babies/kids
Play train and plane

Little bike track
Under cover picnic tables
Climbing frame with slide
Public toilets a short walk away
Coffee shop and area information situated next to park
Lovely landscaped area
Well maintained and used walking paths - Lovely in spring when the trees are in full bloom
This is one of the best parks in the Hawkesbury and can at times be very busy
Lots of people have birthdays here or meet for playgroup etc.
Highly recommend this playground!
Macquarie Park
Wilberforce Road, Windsor NSW
Great Play equipment with a fantastic swing that my 2 year old loved!
Easy parking
Wonderful grass areas for games with heaps of space
A walking track suitable for prams
Public toilets
Undercover picnic tables
Resident ducks that love to be fed
A sandy beach area on the banks of the Hawkesbury river
A well frequented park with tourists, visitors and local families
The down side :(
The Main play equipment is in the middle of the car parking road (boarded by road) which can at times be quite busy. Not good if you have fast footed little toddlers.
Also a very fine woodchip has been used on the playground which is an absolute nightmare as my two year old liked to throw it (getting it in his eyes) and my 9 month old was filthy from it and just wanted to eat it the whole time!
Bad choice of product and position for this playground.
Glossodia Park - Woodbury Reserve
Glossodia Park - Woodbury Reserve
Spinks Road (near Rural Fire brigade)
This is a great park for Toddlers through to school kids.
A great variety of equipment including 4 slides!!!!
A little concrete bike path
Undercover seating/ picnic table
Playing fields
Easy parking
At the moment there is a huge skate ramp there as a bonus for all those skate boarding kids!
Nice community feel to the park the day we were there, as lots of different families frequented the park.
(Not sure of the toilet situation as we didn't use them)
My Husband thoroughly enjoyed playing with our 2 year old at this park and would highly recommend it to fellow Daddies!
Hope you enjoy:)

Welcome to Mum's & Dad's of the Hawkesbury looking for playgrounds and fun activities!
So I am sick of trawling website trying to find great places to take my children to play.
I have started this blog in hope of helping other Mum's and Dad's find great places to spend time with their kids - Every time I go to a new park I'll add it with my opinion of the playground and surrounds!
I hope this helps. Please add any info or places you feel need to be included!
Ciao
Manee
